John Hegley in The Adventures of Monsieur Robinet

Event Date: October 16 2010 to October 16 2010, Time 07:45 PM to 10:30 PM

Poetry, and Irreverance

John Hegley, widely known as one of the country's most innovative comic poets with many best-selling volumes of poetry to his name, plays at Luton Library Theatre for one night only.

In this off-the-wall comic gem, Hegley brings to life his latest book The Adventure of Monsieur Robinet, which tells the tales of a Frenchman whose unusual habits include burying his dog's kennel and his own luggage pieces. These tales, told in English and French, are accompanied by an explosive array of other new works such as an address to aliens on the subject of transport and some animal impersonations with the aid of a handkerchief.
Hegley's whirlwind of a comic display is full of charisma, quirky views of the world and wholly unexpected twists. This is comedy guaranteed to keep you on your toes. The audience is invited to sing along. But not to dance. Much.

Tickets £12, concessions £10
